The State of Michigan passed a law that requires fines, costs and other financial obligations imposed by the court to be paid at the time of assessment.  The 68th District Court Collections Department is responsible for the collection of these fines and fees.

68th District Court will accept payments by money order and personal checks
(not out-of-state checks or starter checks)

Payment Plans may be available for outstanding fines and fees after financial assessments and evaluations are completed.

After entering a plea with the 68th District Court, the Collections Department provides a payment plan agreement and the support necessary to assist each person in successfully paying fines and fees owed to the court.

A payment plan application may be accessed from this web site. The application must be thoroughly completed including all area codes and phone numbers. Upon completion it can be faxed to 810-766-8962 – 24 hours a day. A collector will contact you within 24 hours to set a plan for you. Payments can be made by credit card.

A collection representative can be reached at
810-766-8969.
